Suggest Treatment For Abscess In Abdomen And Fever

My dog has an abscess in abdomen or retroperitoneum. Has had a fever for three days 103-104.7, is on IV fluids and Unasyn for 24 hours. Now has temp of 98 rectal. In no distress at present, not lethargic. Is low temp from the infection/treatment, or is it a more dangerous sign.
