Suggest Treatment For Abscess In The Scrotal Area
Hi, is there REALLY a doctor online right now? I have a condition that started 2 days ago and is getting worse by the hour. I m wondering if I need to go to the ER for what I think is an abscess in/on my scrotum. Is it possible it will just go away or is it serious? Thanks for any advice!

You have not mentioned size of abscess
Depending upon clinical examination and size of abscess it's severity can be judged...
If abscess large enough than incision and drainage might needed for that...
Oral antibiotic course and topical antibiotic cream will be prescribed as per need
For pain paracetamol tablet can be prescribed

Consult general surgeon for examination and further work up
