Suggest Treatment For Abscess On The Roof Of Mouth

Hi, I had an abscess in the roof of my mouth which bust and is draining puss. I wanted to know how to take care of it as it is still draining, i shook some salt water and is placing a folded paper towel in my mouth to get the drainage, what should i do?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have abscess on the roof of mouth which could be due to irritation of mucosa, injury and due to torus palatinus. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult oral pathologist for proper examination. Doctor may order blood tests , biopsy and examine it physically. Doctor will start with course of antibiotics along with anti inflammatory drug. Apply dologel on these ulcers. Drink plenty of fluids. Do not touch or press it. Take antimicrobial mouthwash rinses such as listerine.
