Suggest Treatment For Accidental Burns On Hand

My sister burned her hand with hot water,at that moment we kept her hand towards running cold water and then we applied silverex cream. But after sometime bubbles were formed and she pinched those bubbles. Now what cure we can do becoz its hurting now?? And how long it will take to be fine and what about the mark.

Hello,

It is not good to pinch or pick the bubbles in a burn since it only invites infection. If the blisters are broken she should clean it and apply antiseptic cream like Burnol or ointment Neosporin. She is suggested to visit ER, so that the intensity of the burn wound can be seen and bandaged if need be to prevent infection & faster healing.

The dressing should be changed every alternate day if not regularly. She should take a tetanus injection to stay on the safer side. To get relief from discomfort and hurt she can take analgesics. Take NSAIDS to reduce any swelling redness or inflammation.
