Suggest Treatment For Accidental Consumption Of Melted Plastic

Hello. I usually prefer cooking with wood utensiles as I find it healthier. I just cooked a soup and by accident left an old cooking plastic spoon inside the boiling pit for about 20 minutes. When I took the spoon out it wasn t melted but it was very very soft and malleable. I have concerns of eating the soup and giving it to my family (8 year old daughter). What would be your advice?
