Suggest Treatment For Accidental Ingestion Of Mercury By A Child
6:30 this AM, my son broke the mercury thermometer in his mouth. he spit the mercury in his mouth but i m not sure if he swallowed some of it. I brought him to the hospital this morning. the pediatrician advised us to observe if he vomits then bring him again to the hospital..am i suppose to worry?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your child ingested mercury accidentally, which is something you should be concerned if is giving symptoms of mercury poisoning to your child such as dizziness, nausea, vomiting. Otherwise need not to panic about anything. give petroleum jelly to child. Drink plenty of liquids and you should rest in peace. visit pediatrician only if symptoms of poisoning occurs.
