Suggest Treatment For Ache And Abscess On The Groin Area
I had a weeping abcess on the left side of my groin in the upper area between my testicle and leg. I also had a harder to the touch one just below it that didn t weep the upper one stopped weeping and healed and doesnt protrude now after I applied tripple antibiotic cream to the open area. Now the more firm one seems to have recessed but I have an ache in the area just above there internally as if I had been kicked in the groin an hour ago. That ache is constant.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
It sounds like you may have a persistent infection in the groin area. I would recommend seeing a healthcare provider as soon as possible for evaluation and treatment. They may need to drain any remaining abscesses and prescribe antibiotics if there is still an active infection. In the meantime, you can try applying warm compresses to the affected area to help with pain and promote drainage. It is important to keep the area clean and dry to prevent further infection. Avoid any tight-fitting clothing or activities that may irritate the area.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
