Hi, I m getting lot of pain, gas and heartburn in the upper stomach especially at the time of periods. Recently I have gone through endoscopy and found mild gastritis and H-pylori infection. I have used 10 days course of pylera capsules. Still I m getting lot pain before the start of periods. I have used Naprosyn for 6 years at the time of periods.
1. repeat H.plori test ( Urea Breath Test - UBT) . If results are positive , you may need to repeat the eradication therapy 2. use a proton pump inhibitor ( omeprazole, pantoprazole) before breakfast for atleast one month. 3. avoid fat meals and use less salt 4. eat fresh fruits 5. eat dinner atleast 3 hours before going to bed 6. include plain yogurt in your meal 7. loose weight if overweight or obese Hope to answer your concern.
Wish you good and sound health.
Regards, Dr Tayyab Malik
