Suggest Treatment For Acid Reflux When Diagnosed With GERD

Hi i have been suffering from GERD since i was 15yo, I am now 27 years old. 1month ago i have been experiencing severe reflux. I took pantoprazole plus for 1 month, had some relief. Should i continue my meds? Is it safe? I have a scheduled endoscopy next week and all i want is for my symptoms to go away.
