Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,
Your
acid reflux problem could be due to gastro-esophageal reflux disease.(GERD) which in turn could be because of improper functioning of upper gastro-esophageal sphincter.
You will need drugs with some precautions and this combined effect will helpful to you.
In my advise, you continue to take
proton pump inhibitors (
pantoprazole or
lansoprazole) with prokinetic drugs (levosulpride) and antacids (digene gel or
ranitidine 150 mg) which actually increases stomach emptying time along with effect on gasteoesophageal sphincter.
Apart from medication you need to follow certain listed things,
1) Avoid oily, spicy and high fiber diet and avoid eating with full stomach rather you eat small frequent meals.
2) Avoid taking rest for 2 hours after meal or you can walk slowly up to first 2 hrs of meal but don't walk fast.
3) You made regular eating pattern.Have your dinner before 8 pm so that at the time of sleeping your stomach will be empty.
4) Do yoga and exercises regularly.
All this cumulative effect will be beneficial to you while treating for the GERD.
If your symptoms do not change even after 1 week of treatment then you should see gastro-enterologist for further advise.
Thanks and regards,
