General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your father seem to be related to acid reflux disease. I recommend to take antacids such as Maalox. I also recommend to avoid food that can trigger the symptoms or too much caffeine. I suggest a diet with fruits and vegetables.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
