Suggest Treatment For Acne After Using Face Wash Containing Salicylic Acid
In the mornings I usually use Cetaphil daily cleanser along with Cetaphil moisturizer. At night I use oxy face wash for sensitive skin (which contains 10% benzoyl peroxide), tretinoin, and the same Cetaphil moisturizer. Lately my skin has broken out super bad. Its all concentrated around my mouth and cheeks. With traveling this summer its hard to do so many skincare steps. I heard that Benzoyl peroxide is better for acne than salicylic acid, but recently I picked up a pHisoderm daily face wash that I have been using morning and night it contains 2% salicylic acid, but I haven t seen any changes in my skin. If anything more bumps have appeared. Should I go back to my old regimen?
As per my surgical experience, the current problem is due to injured epithelium from chemical injury via salicylic acid. Guidelines for best recovery: - Avoid all types of moisturizers and other creams at present - Washing with clean water 3 times a day - Gentle sponging and avoid hard rubbing - Apply honey (organic) 3 times a day over raw surfaces - Follow up after 5 days about the progress and further guidelines.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
