Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having a problem with what I thought was acne but hasn t gone completely away in a couple of months and now I have very dry skin on my face where it feels like there is movement under skin and area on my chin with excess fluid. I feel like I am going crazy thinking there are worms in my skin.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of acne and dry facial skin which could be multifactrorial. Need no to worry it could be due to hormonal changes, stress and change in life style at times. I would suggest you to apply combination of clindamycin gel during day time and Adapalene gel at night time. You should take oral antibiotics such as doxycycline, azithromycin or minocycline to prevent further exaggeration. Drink plenty of water. Application of Topical retinoids will be helpful to you along with topical benzoyl peroxide. Wash your face frequently several times during the day with plain water. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and you can go for another session of chemical peeling/ laser therapy only after proper prescription. Take diet rich in multivitamins.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
