Suggest Treatment For Acne On Chin And Forehead

I am looking to purchase a new skincare line. I am 26 and have hormonal acne- mostly on my chin and recently on my forehead. I am looking to purchase either Cetaphil or Cervae. I don t know which is better or if I should get a face wash with salicylic acid.

Hi,

Skin contains sweat pores and hair follicles. Sebaceous glands are drained into hair follicle which gets out to surface of the skin. Sebaceous glands secrete sebum which is a oil substance that maintains the moisture of the skin. When these secretions get clogged because of the obstruction of the pores, there would be acne formation due to infection.

If the skin secretes less amount of sebum, dry soap is good to take out the excess oil and keep the skin hydrated. It your skin is dry, moisturizer is advised. Facial creams should be thoroughly cleaned to avoid clogging and acne formation. Visit the dermatologist for further evaluation and management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
