Hello,

Treatment of acne depends on the stage and the kind of acne (inflammatory or papular acne), Mild to moderate acne can be treated with a local application of an antibiotic gel, such as clindamycin, which is the antibiotic in Femcinol A.
You will need to use this for at least 6-8 weeks before you know for sure if it is helping or not.

If this is not helping enough in 6 weeks then isotretinoin can be used. This is the most effective treatment for acne and is used if other treatments are not working or if the patient has severe acne with scarring tissue. The doctor will have to decide if you need to start isotretinoin or not.

I hope this gives some answers to your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
