I am a 63 year old woman with acute arthritis in both my feet due to surgery as a child. I was born with Escobar s Syndrome . I was born with multiple abnormalities in my bones and body appearance. I am in reasonably good health except for extreme pain in my feet and back. I am overweight, because I am not very active. I can t stand or walk very well, so I do not get a lot of exercise. I have severe Osteoporosis. I want to lose weight and keep it off, but having a hard time. I have taken Phentermine for quite some time now. It worked very well at first, but doesn t seem to control my appetite anymore. Therefor my doctor is going to take me off of it. This is going to sound odd, but while I have been taking it, I have noticed quite a decrease in pain from my arthritis in my feet and back. My doctor doesn t see any possible relationship to my lessening of pain and the Phentermine. I definitely have noticed a relationship though! One pain doctor that I saw, said that Phentermine can act like an Analgesic (like aspirin) in rare cases. Is this true? I can t find any articles or information to support this. I would like to know for sure, because the Phentermine helps me quite a lot with pain relief from my arthritis. Thank you in advance for any information you can give me. Sincerely, EB
