Suggest Treatment For Acute Colitis

Hello and thanks for being available. after an acute colitis type episode, first which seemed to start with a food poisoning epis0de and a round of cypro theb flagyl ths s/s progessed to acting like c-diff. over flowing depends etc. intesticial inflamation was identified and GI dr started butisol - shoot can t remember name but a 3 cap qam med that had prednisone in it. after 3 months attempted to reduce, 2 caps for a month then 1 etc. Each time I backed of to 2 caps mild but bothersome s/s returned. this week we bagan use of bentyl wuth plan to back off prednisone med. 2 questions. how much systemic prednisone is being absorbed? I thought it was roughly like when inhaled for asthma, apparently not true. # 2 quwstion, i don t reel dizzy but my balance seems really since starting 10 mg 3x s a day if bentyl. don t find that in the side effects list i ve looked at. thks for any help/clarification you can provide. jg
