Hi there. 2 weeks ago i had a severe bladder. acute cystitits. The in the meantime. i had a pap smear done and a vaginal swab done. the results from the hospital said my pap smear had abnormal findings and have to go back the 1 june. At the moment my bladder feels heavy. i do nor have a discharge and my urine is not burning. can u tell me what is happening and what the results might be? The also took blood test and urine samples
The pap smear and bladder infection have no correlation.
The pap smear is for checking cervical pathology. The abnormal pap smear could be due to many causes like infection of the cervix, LSIL, HSIL etc. I need to check report to give a comment regarding pap smear.
If your urine report in form of cytology and culture normal along with normal USG than no need to worry about bladder pathology.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
