Suggest Treatment For Acute Hip Pain

I went to my orthopedist yesterday for acute hip pain. He did an x-ray and showed me where my right iliac crest is "abnormally shaped". It is not rounded like my left side. He said this is most likely the cause of my pain and is sending me for an MRI, which he is having looked at by a specialist. He mentioned a surgery where they could go in and round out the right side. He did not tell me the name of this condition or the name of the surgery and I am trying to research it to get more information. Can you tell me where I can find more info on this disorder and possibly what it is name? Thanks, Lindsay
