Suggest Treatment For Addiction To Masturbation In A Teenager

So I Have 2 boys one is 14 the other is 9, my oldest masturbates all over the house and doesn't seem to care if Mom or I are nearby or not, and I am afraid that my 9 year old will pick up on this habit. how do I get him to stop doing it out in the open??

I can understand your concern. He is 14 years old and is having habit of masturbation. It is common in teenagers to develop sexual fantasies and they masturbate. But masturbation in front of someone cant be ignored and this need proper attention. He is masturbating even in front of you and this should be evaluated. Behavioural disorders of childhood, conduct disorder or even bipolar disorder with childhood onset can cause such habit. Hypersexuality could be the reason for his symptoms. Please don't fight with him or scold him. Take him to a psychiatrist for evaluation.

For reducing such habits behavioural modifications can prove useful. Token economy, negative reinforcement etc are common modalities of treatment in behaviour therapy. Consult a psychologist or psychiatrist for details.
