Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor, I recently removed my polyp and doctor sent for lab test and it was adenosarcoma cervical polyp thus my gynae advised me to have my uterus removed. I am really confused and scare about the surgery. Would it be possible not to have the uterus removed and what will happen likely? Thanks
The report indicates that there are changes in polyp consistent with a type of cancer. Hence it's very necessary to remove the uterus as it can progress to advanced stages of cancer.
Generally removing a uterus is a safe surgery. So you should not be worried about that but in light of the test the surgery is very necessary.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
