Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m taking three medications for blood pressure: hydralazine, losartin and a small dose of amlodapine. I have just been diagnosed with adhesive capsulitis and am told I need to take NSAIDS. The packaging on my prescriptions says no NSAIDS, however, when I asked the pharmacist personally, I was told it should be o.k. I m confused.
NSAIDs can reduce the effectiveness of antihypertensive action of Hydralazine. It is fine to take these medications together. However, your blood pressure needs to be monitored closely, and the dosage of anti-hypertensives should be increased if blood pressure increases.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
