Suggest Treatment For Agitation, Drowsiness And Loss Of Memory

Yes, my husband is on a prescribed sleeping pill and have heard a lot of bad things about them. I am starting to see some signs like agitation, sleeping a lot, slowed memory. Are any of these signs that the sleeping pills could be affecting him.

Hello,

Since your husband is on prescription sleeping pills, he may show symptoms like dizziness, and confusion. He may develop short term memory problems. Aggression may start when there is worsening of depression or physical illness.

You have not stated here the past history or illness of your husband. However, you are suggested to discuss about the symptoms of your husband with the treating doctor so that he can be put under observation & treated at the earliest. You can take the help of a counselor or physiotherapist.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
