Suggest Treatment For Agoraphobia And Suicidal Thoughts
Agoraphobia symtoms, quit 4 years of college, afraid to move even from one room of his apartment to another room, he is single and 21 years old, never dated and so very good looking, but he cannot see anything positive about himself. He constantly thinks of suicide, can t even go to his computer any more to play games, stopped all his personal care for himself. Where or who should he see in Ellensberg or Yakima? Money is an issue, lost his job and also his student housing. What can I do to help him?
Agarophobia runs in families though it can be caused due to fear that manifests as panic attacks. Agarophobia can be treated with medications like anti-depressants or anti-anxiety. Cognitive therapy & physical therapy is also effective.
Help him stay away from stress, addictions if any & take adequate sleep. Let him be physically examined, evaluated & treated at the earliest. He is suggested to see a Psychiatrist/Counselor & a Physiotherapist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
