Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes, I hope that you can help. I am wearing 30 day heart event monitor. I am extremely bothered by an itchy rash. I assume that I am allergic to the gel on the electrodes. I am using electrodes for sensitive skin which I change every day. I have tried OTC cortisone cream, Kroger brand. Sometimes in the night I wake up clawing the area around the electrodes. I have also tried Johnson s baby powder. Please offer a suggestion. Thank you.
You can try Calamine lotion. It gives a soothing effect, regularly applying moisturizers, aloe vera gel, or antihistamine creams like Benadryl itch stopping cream.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Fahum Akhter, General & Family Physician
