Suggest Treatment For Allergic Reaction To Face Lotion

Hi, I had an allergic reaction to an acne face lotion two days ago. My eyes were really puffy and my face was swollen. I took an Allegra allergy medicine which calmed the swelling but now my face is terribly irritated. My whole face is sensitive, itchy, dry, and red. I currently have and oatmeal and honey mask on my face which is helping but is there anything else I can do? Can I put calamine lotion on? Thank you in advance!

Emergency Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

I would advise that you should continue with Alegra for total of one week. I would also recommend that you should locally apply skin cream containing Mometasone twice daily. If the symptoms persists, get yourself clinically evaluated by a dermatologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. R. A. Singh, Emergency Medicine Specialist
