Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have sneezing problem which is from last 2 years. I have gone from allergists to chest specialist Doctors.. All I got was nasal spray and alegra. Now the condition is I have to take 1 tablet daily to avoid sneezing. If I miss the tablet one day I wil have sneezes all the way. So continuing with alegra is safe for me.? I don't have any other option other than continuing it. Please help me..
You can continue to use the allegra or any other anti histamine as long as your symptoms continue. Examples of other non drowsy anti histamines are zyrtec, claritine, aerius
If you can determine the source of your allergic response and decrease your exposure, it would also help to reduce your symptoms.
Allergy testing is available. You should speak to your doctor about this option.
HI Well come to HCM The chances of vaso motor rhinitis is very likely, if this is vasomotor rhinitis then this could be due to some triggering factors and that is, air pollution, cool area, spicy food, emotional condition, and better to keep your self away from this, hope this information helps. ( Comment:- Sneezing some time may be due to emotional stress )
