Suggest Treatment For Alopecia Areata

Sir I have been recently diagnosed with alopecia areata, I consulted a dermatologist and I was prescribed hydroxychloroquine tablet twice a day, then for 2nd opinion I consulted one more dermatologist, he said you should not take hydroxychloroquine and prescribed Folligrow tablet, melanocyl ointment, and clonate lotion, so I am confused whose advice should I follow, kindly guide me

Hello,

Folligrow tablet & Clonate lotion may help. Steroid injections & topical steroids are effective. Application of minoxidil solution on the bald patches show regrowth of hair. Topical immuno-therapy is effective but should be done under a dermatologist. To prevent further hair loss take nutritious diet, take care of your scalp. Use Selsun shampoo. You can take supplements like Logihair, it will reduce hair loss. Keep your hair clean & scalp oiled.
