I am 37 years old and have had amblyopia all this time, I had an operation to allign my eye but at that time there was nothing available to help improve my vision. Could you tell me if medical advances have got that far yet. I also read that novocaine injections help, please advise. Thanks
Hello It seems from the history that you are having ambylopia. Ambylopia is because of lack of development of vision in the eye because of density deprivation in childhood leading suppression of the eye. It has to be treated below 6 years for best results by occlusion therapy. Since you are 37 years now it may not be possible to have visual improvement in that eye. But can try low visual aids once for improvement of vision.
Thank you
