Suggest Treatment For An Infection In The Ear With History Of Chicken Pox
Hi there my 5year old son is 1 week into a dose of the chicken pox, just a few spots still to dry up. He has been very poorly and had very high tempretures for 3-4 days although last couple of days seams much better. however last night he begain to cry(alot) with ear ache, this morning I can see white/green mucus in his ear and the other is very yellow and waxy. He been ok last few hours but Im not looking forward to bed time. I will try to get him in to the Dr tomorow (Mon am) however is there anything I can do now?
The symptoms of your son seem to be related to an ear infection. I suggest to give him Tylenol for the pain and fever. I also suggest to use antibiotic ear drops to treat locally the infection. If the symptoms continue you should see the pediatrician for a physical examination.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
