Suggest Treatment For An Unusual Cause Of Recurrent Chest Pain
I am curious as to whether or not I should go back to an urgent care center tomorrow morning to have them run more tests for some chest discomfort I have been having, with some aches and pains also. Mind you last sunday I went to the ER and had a Chest X-ray, ekg and blood work done with no abnormailities whatsoever, so I guess the question is could this still be cardiac related or is it more likely something else?
Chest pain can be due to various reasons related to heart, lungs, muscles, bones stomach etc. I would advise you rule out all heart and lung conditions with the help of investigations most of which you already have got done however few more investigations like echocardiography, TMT to rule out heart problems.
Clinical diagnosis depends on the location, type of pain, exaggerating and relieving factors, relation to food etc. I also would like you to get gastritis ruled out by your treating doctor. If all the tests come out normal then you could point it to a musculoskeletal problem.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
