Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dear doctor I am suffering from anal fissure but because I had my c section two months back and since I am lactating the surgeon did not give me any medicines except lox 2% gelly for local application. Also my stool report shows nil mucus and 2/3. hpf pus cells. I am still not having any relief . Will an anaesthetic like lox gelly cure a fissure as it is only an anesthetic.also I am having burning in mvulva and urethra and do not get the urge or sensation to pass urine as I did before a month ago. Urine report was normal. My gynaecologist also gave me antifungal for candidiasis but I am having no relief. I am suffering from constipation for a long time now and am taking husk powder for it.
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
As I can see you tried all possible conservative methods for the treatment of anal fissure and it seems like your have a refracter case of it so the next recommended step would be s surgical procedure called lateral sphincterotomy which is the gold standard for curing anal fissure and the only permanent solution. All other methods may be less invasive but also much less efficient. Botulinum injections are also available but this will help only for temporary period. All other creams and ointments are also temporary solution that treat pain but not the exact cause. Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing you good health.
