Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been to 2 dermatologist and both have not correctly diagnosed me or have helped me get rid of my scrotum and anal itching. I seem to have redness and a small red line that is in the middle of my scrotum. When i have scratched the area and i have seen skin flakes fall into the toilet there is movement from the skin. Any thoughts on what it is and how i can treat it.
Sounds like chronic dermatitis , fungal infection or other skin lesion. Best steps would be: - Sterile antiseptic wash daily - Keep the parts dry, wear loose, clean, cotton inner wears - Local application of anti fungal dusting powder as miconazole (2%) - Prescription drugs of fluconazole or ketoconazole for desired period of time till complete resolution of rashes - Deworming agent as albendazole or mebendazole for anal itch
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
