Suggest Treatment For Anal Pain While Having Constipation

My husband is experiencing pain in his anus. He is slightly constipated which is a usual condition of his. His bottom hurts. It hurts for him to sit down even if the place he sits is padded. He has had some fever this afternoon. He is normally about 96.7 and one of the times today it was 97.9. What do we need to do?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain constipation can lead to hardened stools and the individual also tend to put extra pressure in an effort to evacuate the bowels and it can lead to tear of the anal skin known as an Anal Fissure and can lead to pain and discomfort even while sitting.

I would suggest you to consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and he can do a clinical evaluation and he can also do anoscopy ..
In case of fissures he can advise you will be advised to apply topical analgesic gels like Lidocaine to relieve pain..
A topical Nitroglycerine ointment or Calcium channel blocker topical application can be advised as it will help in improving blood flow, dilating blood vessels and help in healing faster..
