I am a patient suffering from ankylosing spondylitis. I m taking tab etoricoxib for a 4 months but now I am not getting relief from morning stiffness and pain in chest and under ribs .what should I do now though I also took tab medrol 4mg for 2 months but it has been stopped.plz suggest me medicine to get rid of those problems .
Hello dear Understand your concern Ankylosing spondylitis is a autoimmune disease. Remember, it should be controlled and not treated completely. After controlling your pain will relieve and you can live normal life. Do not stop medicine at owns as it cause joint deformity. Consult the rhematologist for better management: Drugs: Slfasalazine, non steroidal anti inflammatory drug. For sever pain: opioid class of drug Newre drug: etanercept or adalimumab
Avoid stress, do medicine regularly and do exercise like swimming, walking and running. fish oil supplements with ginger and turmeric is helpful Avoid smoking and alcohol. Hope this may help you
