Suggest Treatment For Anti-social Behavior While Refusing To Take Medication

Yes, my 46 yr old daughter has quit taking the medicine zoloph because it makes her gain weight. She has be come very hard to live with. She has 4 children ages 17,16,10,7. Her husband has called saying he can t take much more. Her 17 yr old daughter has cried to me that she takes care of the kids more then her Mom. She now has refused to take my calls because I guess I have hurt her feelings. I m at a loss. How do you convince her she needs her medicine?

* As per my clinical experience, control of anti social behavior while refusing to take medication is a complex issue.

* However, a counselling with an expert psychiatrist is best way to handle the issue as it is of immense benifit

- counsellor will try to figure out the reason behind patient`s unwillingness to take medication

- finding out any underlying hidden fear or conflicts at subcouncious mind set

- counselling regarding life style modifications

- counselling for the need of therapy on clinical perspectives.
