Hi I had a miscarriage at 12/13 weeks in december 2016 I have had two periods since and I tracked my ovulation for this cycle with a kit and came up positive. However I have developed a lot health anxiety since the loss and am constantly worried. Sometimes I get very bad insomnia. I would like to try agin as it was my first pregnancy and I am 32 years old. I feel very nervous about my reproductive health and have done a few tests from the beginning of 2014 and only recently found out I have a blood clotting gene. I just want to feel better again and find ways to manage my stress and get more sleep.
Well, insomnia may be difficult to treat, but there are some methods which can be used. Treatment options include behavior and lifestyle changes, medicines, and complementary medicines.
You need to change your dietary habits and these include changing your sleep area or schedule, watching what and when you eat and drink, and being more active. It's also important to keep regular bedtimes and wake times-7 days a week-and to try to avoid taking naps during the day.
Prescription sleep medicines may also help and include diazepam and similar medications. Melatonin is supplement which may be of help as well. In severe cases special testing is needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
