Suggest Treatment For Anxiety And Memory Loss

i have constant daily bouts of unreality. at times these get really intense out of nowhere and i can actually feel pressure in my head like something is pressing down on me. it gets so bad at times that i feel as if i need to run and scream because i cant think at all nd i feel like im going to forget who i am. it really is hard 2 concentrate at all when this happens and i cant even recall a memory easily at all of any sort and cant think for myself at all. its like im alive but just physically not emotionally or mentally at all. all i know to do is just set and deal with it but the longer i set and let it press on me it seems heavier and heavier and at times i begin to shake inwardly and outwardly like its freezing cold from fighting the feeling. i desperately need an answer on what to do as it is taking a severe toll on me and i dont know wat to do.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi
Welcome to HCM
From the presented information I can understand your major problems as
emotional instability, poor concentration, irritability, dysphoric mood.
These complaints are enough to suggest for presence of mental distress.
The conditions like mood disorder, depressive disorder appear to be likely.
However, to establish a definite diagnosis one has to consider details regarding onset, progression, and the impact of symptoms on daily functioning.
The causes could be multiple, such as stresses from life related issues, interpersonal problems, financial and health related issues, etc. All these needs to be discussed with a psychiatrist and one will need to learn various coping strategies to deal with it through psychotherapies.
If a patient having symptom profile similar to you comes to my clinic, I would advise a psychiatric consultation as a detailed work up of the symptoms and associated stresses is required.
Discus an addition of mood stabiliser and anti anxiety drugs with the psychiatrist. a session of cognitive behavioural there's can be suggested.

welcome for further suggestions
