Suggest Treatment For Anxiety
I started on generic wellbutrin 100mg QD x 1 wk ago. My MD started me on a low dose because she was worried about the possibility of increased anxiety. The first day was a rough and lethargic but after that I have not experienced any other side effects. Do you think it would be appropriate to request a dose increase?

Wellbutrin is Bupropion and the drug help to increase serotonin concentration in brain. You have given 100 mg doses of this drug. Usually I prescribed the drug in doses of 150-300 mg per day to my patients. During first week of therapy a lot of individuals have increased anxiety with bupropion but the symptoms subside after a week. You can consult your psychiatrist to increase the dose of drug.
