Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good evening, I m an active healthy 56 year old female. I work out with a personal trainer 1-2 times a week, play tennis, yoga and spin. I try to follow an anti inflammatory diet as well. My arms have been extremely sore for the last few week-like I ve been lifting weights type of muscle aches. I am developing arthritis in my hands (base of thumb area) but this is strange and started out of the blue. I have a tough time doing simple tasks like folding laundry, lifting pots and pans, holding grocery bags for extended period of time. I thought I would check in with Web MD for help. Thanks, Laura

Suggest Treatment For Arthritis Pain In The Hands
Hello, As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a rheumatologist and get evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
