Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i had a kenalog injection yesterday for arthritis which maybe related to the ulcerative colitis which i have. Although the x ray i had said beginnings of arthritis in the knee and some inflammation, i have been in agony. How long should it be before i feel any relief, and how will i know if it caused through the colitis or degenerative. I am on ASACOL M.R. Thankyou Barbara
Dear Sir/Madam I have gone through your query and read your symptoms. In my opinion, the injection you have been given is a long acting steroid, and its affects starts in 48 to 72 hrs, and peaks in about 1 week. see if you have relief in your symptoms. I hope that answers your query. If you want any more clarification, contact me back. Thanks
