Suggest Treatment For Asthma After Accidental Inhalation Of Spray Paint Fumes

Hello, Last night at work some contractors came to spray paint the building. They had masks on but did provide us with them. The paint really smelt and I have currently got a cheat infection and other members of staff asthma. I just want to know if we were put at risk?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As of now, no definite treatment is required. If you develop symptoms like dizziness and breathlessness seek help from a pulmonologist. Accidental ingestion to such fumes does not cause asthma as it is a genetically determined trait and not related to fumes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
