Hi. Last year my mom chest xray impression: PTB of undetermined activity, right upper lung atheromatous aorta. Last night she was compalining of chest pain and I take her BP 150/100mmhg. Then she went for a check up today and the doctor said that need for chest xray, then I suggest for apicolordotic view. Do you think apicolordotic view needs?

Hi dear...Yes you are right ... apico- lordotic view confirms or helps confirm the lung condition ... But your mother had chest pain.... was a cardiac profile done? A simple ECg, ECHo is neccessary since you say her pressure was high.If her pressure continues to be high, she must be put on anti- hypertensive medication which your doctor would have already prescribed. PTB, must be confirmed.....either by follow up imaging or biopsy....PCR ((an analysis of sample tissue) of the tissue specimen can be done to confirm the diagnosis. On any grounds, she may be benefitted but starting herself on six months of ATT ... if PTB means pulmonary TB.She can be on aprescription of anxit .25mg for the chest pain mean time.Take care of her diet and water which has to be moderate intake.
