General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Athlete's foot is known for recurrence. Hence, maintaining good hygiene of foot is extremely important.
Kindly use a good soap and warm water to wash your stockings. You may rinse them with antiseptic solution as well.
Take care of your foot hygiene by:
1. Rinsing the foot thoroughly usine warm water and antiseptic solution like Povidine-iodine, twice daily.
2. Apply anti-fungal cream containing Clotrimazole after trying.
3. Avoid sweating in the area by applying Clotrimazole dusting powder over it.
4. Try avoid wearing shoes for long duration. See that you ventilate the foot intermittently.
Gradually, your symptoms should improve and get better.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
