Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a 1 year seven months old toddler, my menstruation just siezed for 3 months now, and occasionally I notice breast milk like discharge, my stomach looks like I am pregnant, I also experience occasional back pain and cramps. I tried seeing the doctor after I did not see my period the first month, and I did a scan then, according to the result everything was normal. But the scary part is that I have done several pregnancy tests and all of them return negative. Kindly advise on the next step I should take or can you tell what may be wrong with me?
Lack of periods could be due to hormonal disturbances, stress, anemia etc.
I suggest you get a pelvic ultrasound if not done before. In addition, I suggest you consult your gynecologist.
Breast milk discharge is probably hormonal. Back pain can be associated with a large number of conditions like bad posture, urinary tract infection, central obesity etc.
A urine examination is suggested to look for any evidence of infection. In case there is evidence of urinary tract infection, urine culture is advised.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
