Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband went to er with back pain a week ago.He was treated with muscle relaxers and pain pills. He seemed better in two days then turned worse with fever and upset stomach for three days. No diarreha or vomit, just listless and tired all the time. Today fever broke but still very slow. He said no pain but broke out in sweat at dinner. At the er they said he had spurs in spine which is why the medication. He also has very bad breath. I have been treated with strep throat two weeks ago but he has no tonsils.suggestions maybe a blood test. No heart problems or lungs.never smoked and was a runner until bad knees and hips
The symptoms of your husband seem to be related to a stomach flu. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication such as Acetominophen to relieve the fever. I also suggest using daily probiotics and eat a plain diet. I also recommend to rest and drink a lot of liquids.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
