Hello,
Back pain can be due to
smoking in chronic smokers because the ingredients in the cigarette are injurious to health and cause arterial damage. It causes reduced blood supply to the back and hence may also cause
osteoarthritis and hence back pain. You are suggested to gradually quit smoking. As you quit smoking your intensity of backpain will get reduced.
Get connected to a physical therapist.
Massage therapy, exercises and daily walking is helpful. Hot and
cold therapy and taking pain relieving medications will help to get rid of pain. Get clinically examined, get CT / MRI done to rule out osteoarthritis or any other underlying health condition like
kidney disease,
fibromyalgia, etc.
Cut on salty snacks and do not take extra salt to help prevent water retention. Get eyes checked by an Eye specialist. Excessive smoking affects eye health, get clinically examined to rule out any developing eye problem. Smoking causes reduced blood flow to the eyes, increases fatty deposits in the eye, may cause abnormal blood clotting, etc. Get eyes checked so that you get your eyes treated before development of serious eye conditions.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
