Suggest Treatment For Back Pain That Radiates To The Ribs
I am a 71 year old female and have developed mid back pain that radiates around the front to my ribs. I find that yoga stretches help me, but not to the extent they use to. I had polio as a child and as a result, my right leg is weaker than left. Knee replacement of left knee 13 years ago. I think it is a spinal thing. Do not want to take pain meds, but it is getting more uncomfortable as the days go on.

Suggest Treatment For Back Pain That Radiates To The Ribs
Hi, As the first line of management, you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician to rule out spine related problems. You have to get an MRI scan for further assessment. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
