Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 50 years old and jog approx 30 km/wk. I am in good shape and heath. However, when I go for 45 minute walks in the morning on the weekend, by the time I am finished I cannot stand or walk another step due to lower back pain. If a lay down on the floor with my legs up on the couch for approx 10 minutes, I get relief. I have had this issue for a few years now. I cannot understand why I experience this back pain after walking. I never have this issue after jogging – I always jog in the PM though, not the morning. Thanks for any feedback you may have.
Hi,Welcome to healthcare magic. After going through your query I think You are suffering from chronic backache. Reasons of back pain can be weak muscles and bone, disc prolapse and lumbar spondylosis.Treatment of back pain is exercises, neurotropics such as mecobalamine once DAILY and analgesics (DICLOFENAC SLOW RELEASE TABLETS) . Sometimes vitamin D deficiency is the cause so get your vitamin D checked .If it is low then vitamin D supplementation( weekly with milk) can be taken.Eat milk, fruits and green leafy vegetables daily. To further investigate MRI of the region is advised. You can discuss with your treating surgeon. I think your query answer.
