Suggest Treatment For Back Pin And Weakness

my 17 year old son hurt his back yesterday doing some workouts and weightlifting. Today his tailbone has a drilling sensation deep inside the bone and spine. The pain comes on gradually then feels like the back is giving out with no strength. Please advise what the problem may be.

hello
welcome to hcm
it seems your son has developed PIVD i.e PROLAPSE INTER VERTEBRAL DISC in the lumbosacral region i.e lower back....first of all you should get a MRI OF LUMBOSACRAL REGION and then consult a orthopedician to evaluate n prescribe medicines..till then you can give following treatment for relief from pain
(1) INJECTION THIOCHOLCHICOSIDE intramuscularly twice daily for 3 days
(2) TABLET IBUPROFEN 3 times a day
(3) TABLET CHLORZOXAZONE 3 times a day
(4) HOT FOMENTATION in the painfull region 3 times a day
(5) wear a LUMBAR BELT
